The 2030 plan
Developed a 20 year phased plan for a national high speed rail system with the US High Speed Rail Association. Drawing from the graphic tradition of metropolitan transit maps, the US HSR 2030 Map allows users to grasp the vision for an entire proposed national system for high speed rail and understand the key regions and proposed year phases for development. High speed rail is best served to connect two major cities over short and medium distances. These short, city to city routes become practical, attainable goals that can shape public opinion in favor of high speed rail. By illustrating a national vision to be rolled out over 20 years, this map for high speed rail can become the blueprint for a backbone of a sustainable intermodal transportation system for America.
