The Strength in Numbers activity was a collaboration with George Hart. We modified an earlier figure/sphere assembly design to look like a strong man at the carnival. We used Math Midway colors to the figures, renamed the activity as “Strength in Numbers”, and the festival visitors created two beautiful, complex spheres that day.
Math Midway is a traveling exhibit, shown here at the World Science Festival 2009 in New York.
